Financing our Programs and Mission

As a 501 3C Not for Profit Corporation in Michigan, the School for Strings must finance at least 10% of its annual budget through fund raising projects and donations.   Tuitions do not and cannot provide the funding for our School.  The Board of Directors has ultimate responsibility for raising funds and organizes various fund raisers each year. However, they need every family to assist with, and participate in, these projects. These might include purchasing through Kroger Community Rewards and Amazon Smile and encouraging other family and friends to also shop for the School for Strings, selling tickets and bringing friends to fund raising concerts and dinners, selling program ads, arranging Fiddle Club or other student performances for paying audiences and organizations, encourage family and business associtates to make tax deductible donations to the School.

Sign up for Community Support with these businesses who will make donations to the School for Strings of St. Clair County without adding additional costs to you.  We greatly appreciate your support and the generous commitment to our mission from you and these organizations.

We also receive donations of instruments which we use in our exploratory programs or to provide instruments for promising beginners.

Please remember the School for Strings for your giving as you mail your donation to:
