We are St. Clair County's premier music program; a thriving, creative community dedicated to music education and performance for students of all ages. Our students, faculty, staff and volunteers are a wonderful, highly motivated, energetic community. Come and join us!
The School for Strings was formed in 2000 after the Community Foundation of St. Clair County granted funds for access to music instruction. Our high commitment to quality music education and performance has led to our growth into the community's largest music program.

We aim to provide a comprehensive curriculum with the best possible instruction and inspiration for our students. We offer all facets of technique and musicianship in a wide range of musical styles and performance situations.
The School for Strings presents many concerts, recitals and other musical events through the year, performed by students between the ages of 3 and 60 years old.
